An account is required to order. It is how the attestation you agree to stays attached to what you buy, and how the lot documents for your orders stay retrievable later.

WHY WE DO NOT VERIFY EVERY RESEARCHER

We do not ask you to upload a licence, prove an institutional affiliation, or name the lab you work in. We could. Plenty of suppliers do, and it would be the easier position to defend.

We do not, because that record would then exist. A file linking a named person to the specific compounds they study is a permanent liability we would be creating on your behalf, held on our infrastructure, subpoenable, breachable, and useful to people who are not you. Independent researchers, people working outside an institution, and anyone whose work is simply their own business would all pay for that convenience. We would rather not hold it.

So the control is the attestation instead of the credential. Before you can browse the catalogue you confirm four things: your age, that you are acquiring these compounds for research only, that you will not administer them to any human or animal, and that your jurisdiction permits the purchase. That agreement is binding, it is recorded against your account, and it is the basis on which we sell.

That is also why the catalogue is gated at all. We are not gating it to seem exclusive. We are gating it because a research-use-only supplier has to establish intent before a sale, and we have chosen to establish it by asking you to state it rather than by building a database of who researches what. Keeping the account minimal is the point, not an oversight. We ask for an email address, and for the shipping details an order physically requires. Read the compliance reference for the regulatory position behind this.
